Moscow, Russia

Category : Travel

On a Friday my mom and I boarded a plane to Moscow to visit my aunt Vika. We came to the Vnukovo airport in Moscow one hour later. And this is how our adventure starts.

One of my favorite things that we did is a Tesla Show. Vika got tickets for us and we went. We saw tanks of Xenon, Argon, Neon, and other gases, and did lots of cool experiments. We also watched a video about the life of Nicola Tesla. I learned that every matter is a conductor. We went to another room and listened to lightning music(seriously!)and watched a man get struck by 2,000,000 volt lightning bolts (probably didn’t hurt at all:)).My mom and I were elected to go into the FARADAY CAGE (Dun Dun Duuuuuuuuuun). We were supposed to go inside the cage and the lightning would strike the cage. And we did! It was so cool (and fun). It was so cool since we were so close to the lightning bolts! Then we had some more fun with the tanks of gases. Me and another boy touched tanks that were next to each other and touched each other’s fingers at the same time and a red spot appeared on the place we touched! So practically I touched fire! The whole thing was so fun.

We also went to Ostanskino TV tower. It is the tallest building in Europe. There is an observatory deck and we went on to it. You could see most of Moscow! The sight is unbelievable. Oh, and I forgot to tell you, the floor is glass (shudder), but don’t worry, it is 8 inches thick. And when you go into the restaurant, you find that it is spinning! The building is so cool. I cannot wait to come back.

One evening we were walking around Gorky Park and it was very fun. Lots of people were dancing and there were lots of activities for kids, and then we decided that we want to go on a boat tour, since there was a river called the Moscow river nearby. We got tickets, and then got on to a boat that was called Elizabetha. We saw the Kremlin, the main cathedral, and lots of other buildings. We had drinks on the boat, and then after two hours of sailing (at least I think so) we got off. It was unbelievable.

We also walked around Moscow, stepped into cafes and restaurants and saw so many amazing things. I loved being there with my Mom and my aunt Vika. Moscow is a beautiful city and I cannot wait to go there again next year.
