The next day we had THE most amazing adventure in my life. We decided to go over the Franz Josef Glacier ON A HELICOPTER and land on it! We got picked up by the helicopter van and drove over to our helicopter, a Squirrel B3e. We learned that we must enter from the front of the helicopter, in order not to get hurt. When we already got inside the helicopter, I saw that we would get to wear headsets! Alfie, the pilot of the helicopter told us that it would be very loud. …And he was right. It was loud. When we got into the air, we could see everything! A few minutes later we were soaring over the Southern Alps. We would come really close to the tips of the mountains and almost land on them! The day was very clear, so we could see to the bottom of the mountains and far, far to the horizon. Alfie told us that he did aerial filming for the movies Lord of the Rings & The Hobbit trilogies, Vertical Limit, Peter Pan, The Chronicles of Narnia, Wolverine, King Kong, Pete’s Dragon and many more! But then we landed on the glacier! The snow was so white and sparkly and there was lots and lots of it. Too bad I didn’t bring my snowboard (just joking, I don’t have one) . We were pretty much on top of the world!

It was the most amazing experience that I’ve ever had in my life.

Then we walked around Queenstown and decided that we will go on a boat called MILLION DOLLAR CRUISES (Do not worry, it does not cost a million dollars). We sailed around the lake and I learned that it is the 2nd purest lake in the world. I even got to steer the boat!

It was great in Queenstown. I want to come back again.
