Valencia the Beach Place

Category : Travel

My Dad rented a huge Mercedes van so that we (Grandma, Grandpa, Mom, Dad, Evan and me) could fit in, and we drove to Valencia. The road trip was fun as we drove through many beautiful places. We went inside into our new place and loved it! There were two balconies, one which went from Dad and Mom’s room to my room to the guest room, and one that was SUPER big and had a table so that we all could eat outside. It had a great view on boats and yachts. It looked a little bit like Venice. Evan and I also had a bunk bed! We played around a bit and then went to eat dinner. We found a restaurant that was next door and ate outside. It was nice. We came back home and immediately fell asleep.
The next day we went to the beach (which was less than a block away) and built sand castles and played soccer. After the beach and lunch, we went to the Cathedral and I learned that the Holy Grail is kept in the Cathedral and immediately went to see it. I could barely see it because it was in a case that was pretty far away and there were very bright lights shining at it. Holy Grail is a vessel from which Jesus Christ is believed to have drunk during his last supper with the apostles. There were also halls with beautiful paintings in them. One hall had a lot of models of the Crucifixion and one had a lot of paintings, stained glass windows, a windpipe and a podium! It was the best cathedral I had ever been in! Also, what’s interesting is that Valencia has orange trees with real oranges growing all over it. It’s pretty amazing!
It was the best first day ever!
