Cristina’s Birthday

Category : Travel

We came to Lama dei Peligni (which is the place where the girls live) in the evening. It is a very nice place on top of a mountain. They have a dog named Levis and 3 cats named Diego, Pirate and Marquees. They are very cool and cute and nice pets. We lived in the bottom level of their house, which was very beautiful and had a big patio where we could play soccer. We stayed awake for a long time and then finally fell asleep.

The next day we found out that it was Cristina’s birthday. Cristina invited Diana’s (Cristina’s mom) sister’s daughters, Alessandra and Valentina. Cristina also invited Diana’s friend’s son and daughter, Ilenia and Tito. We were going to celebrate by going to a rope (climbing) park. It was very big, but I could only go on 1 course: the green one. There were 5 parts. The staff member told me that if the rope had red tape on it, I should only use my carabiners, but if the rope had red and blue tape, I should use both my carabiners and my zip line. We had to climb and walk on dangling ropes high up in the sky. There were suspended bridges and pieces of wood that were suspended by ropes, so you had to hold on and walk to the next point. There were all kinds of things, so it was a very good workout. The first level was very simple, and I went through the course the fastest. When I was on level 4 Cristina was on 3 (but I do not want to brag ;). On the fifth course I found cherries on the tree next to me, so I tried hanging: it worked, I could grab a few cherries! Except they didn’t taste good:). I loved it there, and so did everyone else.

In the evening we had arrosticini, which is a traditional Abruzzese meat. I also played violin.

It was a very nice day/night! We had a lot of fun and I think Cristina had a wonderful birthday!
