From Singapore, we were going to Italy, but to break the flight we stopped in Qatar.

When we flew in, it was 28° Celsius. We drove to our nice apartment on Pearl Island, an artificial island of Qatar. We had 2 balconies that overlooked the beautiful harbor. We came out of the apartment and walked around. It was night, and the buildings were lit up, the light being illuminated on the water. It was a lollipop for the eyes!

The next day, we woke up and immediately went to the pool. For some reason, it was very crowded! We swam around for a long time. When we finally came home, we dressed up and went to the Museum of Islamic Art, which faces the main skyline of Qatar. We saw weapons from old times, and all sorts of other stuff. We also saw a LOT of Qu’rans!

When we came out, it was already evening, and we decided to go the the bird market inside Souq Waqif, an even bigger market. We walked to Souq Waqif, then it took us about 20 minutes to get to the bird market. But what we saw when we came there shocked every one of us.

There were all sorts of birds: rainbow birds, red birds, green birds, blue birds, big birds, little birds. There were rabbits, hamsters, dogs, cats, all of them! It looked crazy and awesome at once! We walked around for a long time, then went out and ate dinner: skewered meat. It was delicious!

We had to fly to Italy the next day. Qatar was a good experience!
