One day my grandfather asked me if I wanted to go on a fishing trip. I agreed and that night we (me, my dad, and my grandpa) started packing. Then I went to bed at 9:00, and then grandpa woke me up at 4:00! Luckily, I have no problem waking up early. It was very early in the morning, and the sun soon started to rise. We drove to the national forest. First, we collected one of grandpa’s friends because 1. We didn’t have fishing hooks and other equipment 2. He knows how to control the motorboat. There were 4 lakes intersecting, so the lake was very big. We unpacked our stuff into the boat, climbed in, and set off.
We threw our hooks into the water and moved the boat around the lake(s) because you can’t catch a fish by staying in place. If we felt we got something on our hooks(grass) we pulled in our hooks. We rode around the lakes for a few a few hours and then grandpa got something on his hook. It was a fish! We weighed it and it was 3 kilograms. Then one more hook got something and I winded it up. I caught a fish! There is a Russian fairy tale about a boy named Emilian who catches a magic fish. So I caught my fish!
