Day of Paratroopers

Category : Travel

Today there was an air show. But Grandma, Evan, Vika (my aunt), and I decided not to go to it, because it was raining. Because we didn’t go to the air show, we decided to go to the celebration of Day of Paratroopers. We came to the celebration when the tanks were dancing. By dancing, I mean driving under music and SHOOTING (bang bang!). Evan got too scared and went home with Grandma, but Vika and I stayed. Also at that time paratroopers were climbing down a 10-story building (of course, with ropes). They did flips and shot from their guns. They also let loose flags from the top of the building.  It was amazing.

Next there was hand combat. They fought with each other really well. Good thing I didn’t fight with them:). They also fought with hand guns and rifles, and actually shot from them! It was cool. The paratroopers also laid down on uneven nails, shards of glass, got hit by a thing that burned, and stood on each other. I think it should hurt doing that, don’t you?

Last there was war on water. The bad guys captured a Belarusian barge and patrolled it. But the Belarusians fought back. They destroyed two of their boats, disarmed 10, and took back the barge. It was cool (and scary!).

That was the end. We also got to go on the tanks, BTRs, trucks, and everything that shot over there. I even got to wear a helmet and goggles!

The last thing we did was take pictures with the soldiers. Vika and I both took pictures of each other next to soldiers. They were all dressed up differently and holding guns and rifles.

It was a very impressive day. I hope we can go to the air show tomorrow!
